About Us *Who Are We?* The St. Ives Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in 1942 from the"C Company" Home Guard Unit but moved in 1974 to thepurpose-built, air-conditioned, 25 metre in-door range at the St. Ivo Recreation Centre, in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, UK. The club aims to promote the sport of Target Shooting, teaching above all the safe handling and correct use of target guns. We welcome everyone, aged 10 years and above, provided a responsible adult accompanies a junior under 15 years. There are three disciplines operating within the club: 0.22" small-bore rifle, air-rifle and air-pistol.
*Club Aims* The Club aims to promote the Sport of Target Shooting, teaching above all the safe handling of target guns and their correct use. We welcome everyone (10 yrs. and older) but insist that at least one responsible person attends with a junior if they are under 15 yrs of age. Probation periods are: 4 weeks for Air and 3 months for .22" rifle. If the prospective member is a beginner, we have a selection of Club loan equipment for people to "have a go" and then decide on choice of kit to buy for themselves. Club competitions are run to enable people to gain an insight into competitive shooting, and after they gain experience they can enter external county and national competitions under the Club's banner. Target shooting is a very safe sport, which teaches responsibility and discipline, and with very low insurance rating, far below golf!

*Where To Find Us*
The range is located in the St. Ivo Recreation Centre: St Ivo Leisure Centre, Westwood Road, St. Ives, Cambs, PE27 6WU. Please see the map here, or you can get directions from where you live here. When in St. Ives (see local map here), follow the Recreation Centre signs off southern Ramsey Road into Westwood Road, to the end of the road where there is a large car-park. The Centre is the building on the left of the two buildings adjacent to the car-park. Go into the entrance hall. Rather than going up the stairs to reception, go through the doors straight ahead of you, down into the basement to the first door on the right, where you'll find us.
